Halloween 2009: Cowboys and Indians
On Halloween day, an old west town was rejuvenated at the ol' APMSS office. The office was decorated with realistic scenes of the ol' west, complete with stage coaches, a bank to rob, a saloon, and horses. There were two "Wanted" posters for the outlaws Deadshot Daitch and Flying Frying Frey!
To the delight of our patients, the staff was dressed up as cowboys,
cowgirls, and other entertaining character actors! Annie Oakley, the
Not-so-alone Ranger, a lot of sheriffs, a few native American Indians, and
even a few bank robbers created an enjoyable atmosphere without
compromising patient care. Even two cowboy docs were seen riding throughout the town doing something that was rumored to have happened a long time ago before managed care: the doctors were making house calls!
Both doctors and the staff fought valiantly to get rid of all the pain
problems suffered by their the patients in the old west and on College
Parkway! As the sun set in the west over the Caloosahatchee, the old west
setting disappeared. And once again, 8255 returned to being the
state-of-the-art medical facility. Until next Halloween... |
